In order to feel energized and fit for the day, I was searching for ways to optimize my breakfast. I am one of those “camembert-with-jam-on-baguette”-lovers, who didn’t think too much of healthy yoghurt and granola. I truly didn’t… and then I tried it 😀 And you know what the best part is? It’s creative! You have your base, that can be low fat joghurt, greek joghurt, or my latest favorite – Skyr! The perfect mixture of quark and joghurt. It is super high in protein and calcium, while being lowfat. And then you can add the topping and free your inner breakfast artist! The topping can be anything that you love for breakfast: granola, müsli, fruits, seeds and nuts. I have the most fun decorating and experimenting with mixing tastes and textures.
This was my first try: I mixed Skyr with lowfat quark, till it got soft and creamy. Then I added natural granola, half a banana in slices, a handful of blueberries and rasberries with some almonds on top.
